GEEKAY SCOUTING TOURNAMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 Introduction and Acceptance

The Geekay Scouting Tournament Official Rules (“Rules”) govern all stages of the Geekay Scouting Tournament (“Geekay Scouting Tournament” or “Event”).

These Rules have been designed to ensure the integrity of fair play of Fortnite, Valorant, League of Legends and PUBG Mobile (the “Games”) in connection with the Event, and are intended to promote vigorous competition and to help ensure that all competitive play of the Game is fun, fair, and free from Toxic Behavior.

1.2 Global Terminology

Bracket: A flow chart indicating who should play whom at any point during a tournament.

Round: A unit measured within a Game. Once a player wins X number of Rounds, he wins a Game.

Game: A match between 2 teams. In tournaments, teams must win X number of games to win the Set.

Set: Number of Games that must be won to advance to the next bracket round or claim victory.

Judge: An individual chosen to run a bracket. A judge is a tournament official and will be empowered to control the flow of matches on a bracket. While Judges can resolve conflicts it is often advised that you seek out a Tournament Director for substantial issues.

Tournament Director: An individual overseeing the event judges and managing competitor experiences. Tournament Directors are empowered by the event organizers to resolve conflicts in line with event rules. Event Organizers: The person or people responsible for running the event.

1.3 Entry Details

Geekay Scouting Tournament will be a series of competitions to determine the most skillful players/teams. Entrants (as defined below) will compete against each other in a series of game matches. The Tournament is open to those who are aged sixteen (16) years or over in the U.A.E.

By competing in this tournament, you agree to be bound by the rules and regulations listed below. This Tournament is limited to one entry per team.

To enter the Tournament, you must register with Admin staff at the venue at which the Tournament is being staged or through the pre-registration website before the set cut-off date of each tournament qualifier. Registration of entrants will occur on a first come first served basis (each such registrant an “Entrant”, together the “Entrants”).

1.4 Eligibility of Participation

Players participating in this tournament must be residing in the Middle East and need to be strictly 16 years of age or above, holding a valid passport (with more than 6 month before expiration).

1.5 Acceptance

To participate in the Event, each player must agree (or, if a Minor (as defined below), such player’s parent or legal guardian must agree on such player’s behalf) to follow these Rules at all times, including the Code of Conduct in Section 8. A player (or, if a Minor, such player’s parent or legal guardian) may accept these Rules by clicking to accept or agree to these Rules, where this option is made available to you by Game publisher’s in the Game client. By participating in any game or match that is part of the Event, a player is confirming that he or she (or, if a Minor, his or her parent or legal guardian) has accepted these Rules pursuant to this Section 1.2.

1.6 Enforcement

Geekay will have primary responsibility for enforcing these Rules for all players at the Event and may, working with the Event Administrators, hand out penalties to players for violations of these Rules.

1.7 Amendments

Geekay may update, revise, change, or modify these Rules from time to time. For each player, his or her participation in the Event after any update, revision, change, or modification to these Rules will be deemed acceptance by such player (or, if a Minor, such player’s parent or legal guardian) of these Rules as updated, revised, changed, or modified.
